ZDA Effects Client Charter
06/04/10 - TueZambia Development Agency has started implementing its Client Charter Roll-out Plan to enhance investor confidence in the institution and contribute to reducing the cost of doing business.
The Client Charter is being implemented in line with the Agency’s operational requirements of promoting trade and investment and streamlining bureaucratic procedures and requirements faced by investors.
The Client Charter will be implemented in phases, with the first phase having been already undertaken in the second and fourth quarter of 2009 during the Client Charter training workshop and development of its draft.
The second phase will comprise an internal trial run of the service delivery bench marks agreed at the training workshop.
According to the Client Charter’s Roll-out Plan, streamlined procedures for all approval systems within ZDA will be run for six months before launching the Client Charter.
After the trail run period, ZDA will inquire from stakeholders and the private sector whether it experienced any improvement within the ZDA system as a result of the Client Charter adjustments before developing the final document.
With the private sector input, ZDA intends to create an organisational excellence that benefits the Agency’s vision of becoming a Centre of Excellence for Economic Growth and Development in response to the private sector demands as the driver of the economic growth and development.
