Zambia's attractive business climate wooing investors

Zambian economy continued its recovery in 2017 with the key macroeconomic indicators showing improvement from 2015 and 2016. According to the World Bank, the economic growth is forecast to increase to 4.5% in 2018 and 4.7% in 2019. Last year, the inflation rate decreased to 6.5%, and together with a stable kwacha, led to fiscal reforms and an eased monetary policy.

2018 is projected to be a good year for the Southern African country – the global demand for copper is projected to increase and prices are expected to remain at their current levels. The stability of the mining tax regime is anticipated to encourage investment in copper production and the ongoing energy reforms are expected to attract private sector participation.

To highlight the stability of the political and business climate of Zambia as well as the abundant investment opportunities, Boston Research and Intelligence Group, in collaboration with Zambia Development Agency has published The Investors’ Road Map Zambia 2018, the official investment guide of the country.
