Chinese Embassy promotes support for IZIC

The Zambia Development Agency (ZDA) has commended the People’s Republic of China Embassy in Zambia for supporting the inaugural Invest-Zambia International Conference (IZIC) 2025, to be hosted this July 16th to 18th July 2025 in Lusaka Zambia.

ZDA Director General Albert Halwampa reported that discussions to sign investment deals with Chinese companies during IZIC are already underway.

Mr. Halwampa further welcomed the proposal to host a seminar on the services offered by the China-Africa Development Fund on the side lines of the IZIC conference to explore funding options for investors in the country.

He reiterated that ZDA would continue to engage the Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Associations to mobilise and promote investments into Zambia.

Mr Halwampa said the Agency is looking forward to hosting investment forums in various provinces of the People’s Republic of China to attract Investments.

Meanwhile, Jin Jun, the Counsellor at the Chinese Embassy, confirmed the participation and support of the embassy for the first-ever IZIC.

Mr. Jin said the embassy will work closely with Chinese Investors in Zambia through their chambers of Commerce and associations to mobilise support and participation. He said the embassy is happy to support IZIC as China is one of the largest investors in Zambia across many sectors.
