United Capital Fertiliser Breaks into the Botswana Market

The Zambia Development Agency (ZDA) heartily congratulates United Capital Fertiliser (UCF) for breaking into the Botswana Market. The ZDA is delighted that UCF, which has actively worked with the Agency since its inception, has broken into the regional market with a contract to supply 15,000 metric tonnes of fertiliser to Botswana. The company has to date delivered 98,000 bags as part of this consignment. In addition, UCF is also supplying 30,000 MT fertilizer to Tanzania.

Aside from the fertilizer supply, UCF has also joined the Botswana Stock Exchange to the tune of $500 Million bond listing. ZDA management witnessed this momentous occasion at a bell ringing ceremony held in Gaborone. UCF was represented at the Botswana Stock Exchange induction by its top management and was witnessed by the ZDA among other stakeholders.

Commenting on the great milestone by UCF, ZDA Director Investments Chimuka Nketani said the Agency was very excited to see a Zambian company exporting to the regional market.

Mr. Nketani noted that UCF’s facilitation by ZDA from inception was a testimony that Zambia is conducive for doing business. He encouraged more investors to set up in Zambia and benefit from the favorable investment climate and access not only the local market, but also the regional markets.

Hearty congratulations to United Capital Fertiliser!!
