Zambian Breweries Plc Upgraded Plant Commissioned

The Zambia Development Agency (ZDA) is delighted to have participated at the commissioning ceremony of the Zambian Breweries PLC upgraded Plant graced by the President of the Republic of Zambia Hakainde Hichilema.

President Hichilema has officially commissioned the Zambian Breweries PLC upgraded plant valued at USD80 million.

President Hichilema said his government is focused on bringing more investments into the country to create the much-needed jobs and to grow the Zambian economy.

He commended Zambian Breweries PLC for supporting over 4000 Sorghum and cassava farmers among many other crops countrywide through their out-grower scheme.

And Minister of Commerce, Trade and Industry Chipoka Mulenga said that the opening of the state of art facility is not merely a celebration for the company but a momentous occasion for Zambia’s commerce, trade and industry as a whole.

Mr. Mulenga applauded Zambian Breweries for its commitment to sustainability and corporate social responsibility.

Meanwhile, Zambian Breweries PLC Board Chairperson Monica Musonda expressed gratitude to the President and Government for the support throughout the expansion project.

She committed to ensuring continued collaboration between the company and government for sustainable economic growth and employment creation.

The expansion will create more employment and business opportunities for the people of Zambia.
